Foodie was grabbing a bite with a house-hunting friend in Santa Fe Friday, after a successful day. A couple of hours after eating a favorite fish taco, black beans and rice plate with assorted salsas, Foodie began to feel peculiar in the nether regions.
Languishing moistly on a bench while her pal sauntered around the Plaza, Foodie ran through the possible reasons for her urpy malaise and reluctantly decided it was the fish taco.
Today, two full uncharacteristically nap-filled days later she is timidly pondering eating two boiled egs, after a weekend of crackers, water and bananas. Foodie is marveling at the glorious human digestive system ( an upcoming several-part feature on The FOOD Museum homepage, incidentally) and its ability to eliminate unwanted toxins and regroup.
But when will it ever seem possible to try another fish taco?
( Fish tacos pictured are not the culprits...)
