Feasting !
Remarkable amounts of tasty food have been delivered to the hard-working volunteers I have been privileged to canvas with in New Mexico these past several weeks. Green chile stew, breakfast burritos, tamales, salsa.........and today here in west coast Florida, at a string of storefront residences rented by the Obama for Change campaign in St Petersburg?
Pasta, brown rice with lentils, spinach salad, pizza, and, amazingly huge trays of roast veal, and lamb, brought in by a woman from Bosnia, decked out from head to toe in Obama gear. Few can claim to be as enthusiastic a supporter as she. And she's not even a citizen!
This country's promise is back.
Stumble It!
AMERIC-WELL DONE!!!!
In the evening, here in downtown Belgium,we had lasanga, field salad grown by a neighbor and red wine. Results were were still very slow.
Then during Obamas acceptance speech- 5-ish in the morning, I think, we opened a bottle of bubbly, had a toast to a job well done, a momentous, unforgettable occasion and to a wonderful first family.
Crashed out at 7.30am and forgot to disconnect one phone. It rang. Too early.

You are REAL Amurrican ( kinda) patriots, Rose & Co.
And, yes, I accept your thanks on behalf of my fellow citizens. YOU, world, are welcome.

Still elated and walking in a daze.
A day later, all yurrupean channels are commenting in amazement and relief as to what happened. Most scheduled programs were binned, an Obama, and we-love-America-again love fest was on. And of course that the nightmarish 8 years are over.

Maybe I should blog about Barney the White House Dog biting a Reuters reporter. BUT--Barney didn't eat the guy, so....
